Navy is Better

Yes—I CUT ALL MY HAIR OFF. I GOT A MODIFIED VERSION OF A BUZZCUT THAT LEAVES A LITTLE LENGTH AT THE TOP because SHORT HAIR IS REALLY IN RIGHT NOW, BUT I still MISS MY HAIR SOMETIMES. THE UPSIDE TO THIS CUT IS THAT IT'S VERY LOW MAINTENANCE.

I'm hoping at least for summer until deciding on a new look for fall. Keeping up with the monochromatic trend, I pulled together a light blue shirt with dark navy pants. To add a little more detail, I paired this office-ready look with a navy polkadot tie. The trick to pulling off this pattern is to find a subtle print. Smaller polkadots say style instead of saying clown. This look leans more towards sleek with the black dress shoes and belt. You can always switch it up for a fun, preppy look with brown instead!

All black says, “I’m attending a funeral,” but navy says, “I’m a professional with a good sense of style.”

I've wanted to see this forever, but I finally had time to check out the Sugar and Cloth Color Wall. It's so fun because of all the colors that just pop, and I'm so happy to see this addition to Houston. I'm also grateful that Ashley at Sugar & Cloth was able to bring this creative piece to our city, with the help of Headquarter's awesome space.
