Ihad an inrecidble time escorting S. Poolé to FORMAL this year BECAUSE THEY DID A TREMENDOUS JOB with the 20s theme. IT'S ONE OF THE BEST NIGHTS OF THE YEAR, AND THIS YEAR'S FORMAL BLEW IT OUT OF THE WATER.
From the Great Gatsby theme, to the all-night photo booth, formal will always be one of those memories I can fondly look back on. It was so great seeing old faces, and meeting new ones. Everyone knows I'm all about photo opps and this occasion was no different.
The photos turned out great and we couldn't be more happy with them. Everyone looked incredible. I was too busy at formal to to keep up with all the news surrounding the release of Beyoncé's Lemonade, so this is my little way of paying tribute to such powerful imagery now that I'm caught up.
We wanted to do a minimalist version of Gatsby. This meant keeping simple patterns, using bold colors, and paying attention to the accessories.
With this outfit, I threw a red blazer over a white and blue striped shirt. Paired navy pants with black chelsea boots. Used a navy pocket square & gold coin lapel pin on the blazer. To make the look a little more casual, the sleeves of the blazer were rolled up, then pulled and folded the bottom of the shirt sleeves over to polish the look.
